OVERVIEW

Since 2015 PWE has produced the annual gala for Camp Kesem in the following cities: Chicago, Boston, San Francisco & Los Angeles. The gala invites more than 1,000 of Camp Kesem’s top sponsors, donors and supporters.

In addition to the Magic Ball, PWE produces a 3-day summit for 800 college students to learn how to fundraise and create messaging for their chapters at their respective Universities.

Camp Kesem Magic Galas have raised over $4 million across these four markets.

OVERVIEW

On March 31, 2015 we produced the very first Channel Your Inner Chef event. Five chef applicants competed for thirty minutes in a friendly culinary battle. The winner would receive 2 VIP tickets to the James Beard Award Dinner held in Chicago as well as their winning dish featured at Goose Island Pub Restaurant at the airport.

Producing an event of this magnitude at an airport presented some challenges, including supplying knives and other sharp objects to the contestants and allowing VIP guests into the event space without an airplane ticket; while still adhering to TSA regulations and rules. We worked closely with airport staff, security and HMSHost to ensure that this event was flawless but safe for all guests, travelers and staff.

Following the competition, we held an event on July 16, 2015 where we introduced the winning dish, a blackened jerk chicken with a sweet potato puree, black bean and corn salsa and mango barbeque sauce. This dish, presented by winner Nikkia Stone, was served at Goose Island Pub for the remainder of the month. The VIP event featured speeches from the new Chicago Airport Commissioner, Ginger S. Evans, Alderman Michael Zalewski and CEO of HMSHost, Steve Johnson. We also highlighted the two custom videos that were created for this event; a trailer announcing the competition and a sizzle reel of the actual competition.

OVERVIEW

PWE was hired to produce Ferrara Candy Company’s Employee Halloween Celebration/Costume Party on the rooftop of the Old Post Office. The “Spooky Carnival” event featured elaborate Halloween decor, master pumpkin carvers, a candy sculptor, Halloween-themed food & beverage, fun & unique food service/incidental entertainment and a LIVE T-shirt screening station. In addition, we incorporated a variety of Ferrara products into the specialty food items to further brand the event. A fun example of this was how guests were greeted with an option to take Candy Corn or Nerds Jell-O shots upon arrival.

OVERVIEW

Held at Tao Chicago, the 8th Annual Gala Laugh-Off For Cancer. The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation raises money for cancer research to provide support to children and their families battling the disease. The foundation engaged PWE to produce the 2020 Laugh Off For Cancer fundraising event. The 250-person event was held at Tao Chicago where guests mingled with the Chicago Cubs players and enjoyed Tao’s signature cuisine. The fundraising event continued with an improv comedy show featuring Cubs players and performers from The Second City as well as a stand up set by comedian Megan Gailey. The night concluded with a presentation, raffle and fundraising portion that raised nearly $500,000 for the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation.

OVERVIEW

Beginning in May 2021, PWE produced a large-scale Grand Opening weekend of events and entertainment for HRCNI, consisting of a VIP Event and a Public Grand Opening Media Event.

The VIP guests were welcomed to the one-of-a-kind casino by rock-n -roll clad showgirls, and treated to an exclusive performance by blues legend Buddy Guy (with special guest Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick), as well as a late-night DJ performance by Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy.

The following morning, in front of the casino’s iconic Hard Rock Guitar, casino executives, dignitaries and celebrities christened the new casino with a public Grand Opening Media Event.  Rather than a traditional ribbon-cutting, special guests Tito and Marlon Jackson of the Jackson Five, Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy and Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray joined other dignitaries to count down and smash their custom Hard Rock guitars officially opening this new Casino.  Later that evening Mark McGrath joined local band 7th Heaven in singing Sugar Ray hits along with officially kicking off the entertainment that would be performing every weekend at the Café Stage.

Throughout the rest of the year, PWE continued to produce weekly musical entertainment on the casino’s Café & Council Oak Bar Stages, including Freddy Jones Band, Matt Stell, Josh Abbott, Sister Hazel, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Robert Randolph, Shemekia Copeland, Collin Raye and Jo Dee Messina to name a few.

PWE also produced talent for various VIP special events for HRCNI including the following:

The year of entertainment culminated with an exclusive New Year’s Event featuring Smash Mouth, Grandmaster Flash and Rick Springfield.

OVERVIEW

For multiple product launches, we’ve helped NetApp celebrate the release of its newest products and technology as well as generate excitement among its channel partners, who would soon be charged with selling it.  The branding-driven campaigns began with overtaking the channel partner offices with NetApp leadership, colors, products and messaging, essentially turning the offices into NetApp headquarters for the day. At the end of the workday, employees move to an evening event location where the celebration of the new product continues.  The evening event features elaborate branding, themed food, specialty cocktails and name entertainment, i.e. Grace Potter and Parmalee for all of the different teams to enjoy.

In addition to the product launches, we have also been charged with producing various incentive trips & meeting summits for NetApp and its channel partners which focus on selling the new products and technology.  We create custom, destination-specific websites to coordinate attendee registration as well as share pre-trip correspondence and information. We manage all travel logistics and implement extensive branding throughout, as well as develop unique experiences for each location that are representative of the destination and culture with exclusive elements not available to the general public. Locations have included Napa, CA, Charleston, SC, New Orleans, LA, Key West, FL and Coeur d’Alene, ID.

POPSUGAR is a global women’s lifestyle brand at the intersection of content and commerce. The event took place at The Roof at the Wit Hotel and showcased the summer’s must haves which included custom gift bags, delicious food and drink as well as entertainment. The focus was not only to entertain top trendsetters, but to deliver décor and live entertainment that would define the summer. Over 300 media and local corporate sales personnel as well as key executives attended.

OVERVIEW

We have produced multiple milestone anniversary celebrations for Senior Lifestyle Corporation (SLC), a family owned company that operates retirement living communities throughout the US.

Upon the guest’s arrival, they were welcomed with powerful 18′ illuminated candelabras that set the tone for an unforgettable night. An oversized chandelier made of elegant bottles glamorized the entryway with walls that featured the original dancing couple logo. A stunning aerialist suspended by silks greeted guests as she descended from the center of the chandelier to pour glasses of champagne.

As guests entered the main venue, they were embraced by the history of the company through various aspects of the décor. There were four custom focal points in the room: branded shades hanging 18’ in the air that depicted several SLC locations across the country, illuminated branded bars, food stations featuring Smithsonian Institute style backdrops that illustrated the company’s historic timeline & milestones and a video wall highlighting the company’s new logo.

The food was an amazing combination of J&L Catering, Mon Ami Gabi Restaurant, Evergreen Restaurant, RPM Italian Restaurant and Shake Shack. We utilized Redmoon’s unique entertainment to serve hors d’oeuvres from stilted servers, cake hats and radio controlled quadropcopter drones that flew over the crowd.

As the evening went on, guests eagerly awaited the reveal of the night’s entertainment: World-renowned Chicago blues artist, Buddy Guy & the American rock band from San Francisco, Train.
