Mark Kishbaugh is the founder and CEO of KISHBAUGH + PARTNERS, a Chicago-based event production firm. His success has been the product of a close working relationship and mutual trust established with clients, producers and artists who share in the desire to innovate. The goal is to always push the boundaries of visual and audio technologies to deliver the most dramatic and memorable impact on audiences.

Founded on 40 years of experience, staging events of every size in every market segment combined with his depth of global resources gives him the ability to bring your vision to life anywhere on the planet. Mark’s concept development, venue planning, set design and content development make him the perfect partner for sound and lighting management. Mark’s expertise in sound, lighting, video, backline, staging, power, communications and event power help produce the best corporate events in the industry.

Mark has been the lead sound designer for many projects including President Barack Obama’s Election Night in 2008, the NHL Winter Classics 2008-2010, the Harley Davidson Celebration for 150,000 people featuring Elton John, Tim McGraw, Kid Rock and the Doobie Brothers as well as the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan. His touring experience includes The Rolling Stones, U2, Paul McCartney, Metallica, AC DC,& Jennifer Lopez.

Over the years, creativity, drive and talent have taken him from the ’70s rock club scene to some of the biggest events ever staged with many of the worlds most prestigious companies and legendary artists.

What do you think makes PWE different?

What makes PWE different is that they NOT willing to cut corners.  It sounds so simple, but the majority of producers are willing to cut on fundamental design principles that will negatively impact the quality or safety of an event.  PWE is also run like a family organization that takes full ownership of every project they undertake. There are no corporate pressures to meet quotas or sell anything that is not of value to the client and the event.  Their business model is based solely on delivering exceptional, highly creative, quality events.

PWE is also not limited to one market segment. Their depth of knowledge, experience and resources covers everything from social events to high end entertainment.

Why do you like working with PWE?

PWE creates a working environment that is fun and rewarding no matter how challenging the event is. They understand that showing respect for all of the people involved is imperative to getting the very best results. I have worked with PWE since 1997 and consider everyone in the organization a friend.  They are not just my most important client, but family to me.

What is your favorite PWE event & why?

Milestone Birthday event in Montecito, CA. So many events have been bigger or more challenging but this event provided a moment of pride to be part of such an exceptional team of professionals.  While building an entire event on a mountaintop certainly provided the challenge the team executed this entire event with absolute precision all while having fun. I loved the site. I loved the client.  I loved the team. Sometimes it is just the people.
