Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation Cook-Off For Cancer

Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation ~ Cook-Off For Cancer

Thank you Adam & Jodi for all that you do for us & for being part of the ARFF family! When PWE joined our team, we were looking to take our events to the next level & you did not disappoint. Your attention to detail is unmatched and your commitment to our organization has gone above and beyond. We could not be happier with our partnership.

— Abby Suarez – Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation Executive Director

OBJECTIVE

On May 27, 2019, PWE was proud to donate its services in support of the 2019 Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation’s Cook-Off For Cancer Event. PWE was tasked with helping to raise the caliber of this already successful event to further increase the fundraising and corporate sponsorship.

OVERVIEW

Founded by Chicago Cubs All-Star First Baseman Anthony Rizzo, the foundation raises money for cancer research and provides support to children and their families battling the disease. The Foundation is run entirely by Anthony’s family, his close friends and his management team with Anthony providing oversight and leadership.

Held at Morgan Manufacturing Company, the 7th Annual Cook-Off For Cancer featured over a dozen of Chicago’s best restaurants serving dishes alongside Anthony’s Chicago Cub teammates, including Kris Bryant, Jon Lester, Kyle Schwarber & Cole Hamels. In addition to providing first-class event management services, PWE also leveraged relationships with restaurant partners, vendors, and contacts citywide to minimize event costs and All told, between corporate sponsorship and incredible silent and live auctions, the event raised a record-breaking $1.8 million for cancer patients and their families.

SNAP Photography Benefit Gala

Art Institute of Chicago – SNAP Photography Benefit Gala

“Paulette & her team handled every detail flawlessly making this event one of the coolest of the year.”

— Co-Chair Barbara Bluhm-Kaul

OBJECTIVE

SNAP: The AIC Photography Benefit Gala is one of the most anticipated art parties of the year.

OVERVIEW

The Art Institute of Chicago hosts “SNAP: The Photography Benefit Gala” in its Modern Wing every other year with over 300 art lovers, civic leaders and philanthropists in attendance. Proceeds from the event benefit the Photography Gala Fund, the museum’s largest single source of acquisitions support for photography.

The SNAP Gala is “a young, hip edgy event with a vibe that attracts the next generation of civic supporters”.

Guests entering the Modern Wing were first snapped by “paparazzi” before continuing to Terzo Piano for a reception set against a backdrop of skyline views. Classic photo sets depicted images from the museum’s permanent collection and provided unique photo memories.

Following dinner in Griffith Court, a live auction is conducted by Christie’s America.  One-of-a-kind photographic commissions were custom designed for winning bidders and donated by internationally renowned artists.  And guests always get a sneak peak of the newest collection at this event.

More than $500,000.00 is raised to support the museum’s Photography Gala Fund for future acquisitions.

Presence Health Foundation Events & Consulting

Presence Health Foundation Events & Consulting

“The folks at PWE were amazing!  They worked brilliantly with our team to plan an annual event that was better than the year before and was always on point with our brand and messaging.” — Amy Day (VP of Foundation, Presence Health)

OBJECTIVE

Paulette Wolf Events was hired to produce their annual fundraising gala while tasked with creating a theme as well as contracting entertainment, venue, production and decor that aligned with their mission and core values of the foundation in order to raise funds.

OVERVIEW

The Presence Health Foundation is an Illinois non-profit corporation organized for charitable contributions that benefit all Presence Health entities. The Presence Health Annual Ball is their largest black-tie gala of the year and raises over $1 million for the foundation annually.

For many years PWE produced the annual gala for Presence Health, formerly Resurrection Health Care Foundation. This black-tie gala invited more than 600 of Presence Health’s top sponsors, donors and VIP’s.

From the high energy Mucca Pazza Parade to the Three Waiters and some of Chicago’s best known restaurants, Paulette Wolf Events each year allowed the foundations to raise more and more dollars. One of the most successful years was to craft an event around the theme of One Team. We were able to enlist the support of former notable Chicago Athletes to attend the gala such as Frank Thomas, Otis Wilson, Dan Hampton & Matt Forte as well as helping to secure Mike Ditka, who served as honorary chair that year.

We were also brought on to consult internally creating their blueprint for all fundraising events moving forward.

In more recent years, Presence celebrated the gala with entertainment such as The Temptations and a One Hit Wonder show including The Drifters, The Trammps, Tommy Tutone and Tone Loc.

Camp Kesem Magic Ball

Camp Kesem Magic Ball

“Thank you for all that you did to make our event a huge success. We raised $1.2 million! I always feel better knowing that PWE is part of the Kesem team.”

— Jim Higley (Chief Brand Officer, Camp Kesem)

OBJECTIVE

PWE was hired by Camp Kesem in 2015 to produce their first ever annual gala “Magic Ball” in Chicago.  Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. A program of Kesem, Camp Kesem operates free summer camps for children who have been impacted by a parent’s cancer.  The objective was to educate and inspire local donors to contribute and be involved in this incredible cause.

OVERVIEW

Since 2015 PWE has produced the annual gala for Camp Kesem in the following cities: Chicago, Boston, San Francisco & Los Angeles. The gala invites more than 1,000 of Camp Kesem’s top sponsors, donors and supporters.

In addition to the Magic Ball, PWE produces a 3-day summit for 800 college students to learn how to fundraise and create messaging for their chapters at their respective Universities.

Camp Kesem Magic Galas have raised over $4 million across these four markets.

“It has been an absolute joy to work with the PWE team.  They are incredibly professional, caring and creative beyond measure. Working with them gave me an invaluable sense of confidence going into the event because I knew Jodi and her team were on top of everything.”

— Holly Johansson (Stewardship & Engagement Specialist, The Nature Conservancy)

OBJECTIVE

We helped formulate a new fundraising model – a model that engages your senses, surprises you throughout the evening, excites you to interact with hands-on activities, and takes down barriers so guests feel comfortable to network with everyone at the event while donating to your cause. We piloted this concept for The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) 60th Anniversary Gala and it received rave reviews from the 500 high-level donors, sponsors, guests & executive team and raised over $1M for the organization.

OVERVIEW

At TNC’s 60th Anniversary Gala, there was plenty of seating, no lines for food or at the bars, lots of incredible, interactive elements, including activation stations surrounding their 5 pillars of work (land, water, people, climate & cities). There was also a passport system that encouraged the journey throughout the event. Much of the focus of the evening was on education in addition to fundraising and this event exceeded all of their goals.

This non-traditional gala was an immersive journey into TNC’s brand and was filled with interactive elements and messaging at every turn. The gala began with an enticing environment filled with images and video mapping on the ceiling of the venue, which allowed us to control the imagery, lighting and ambience throughout the night. We used projection mapping to enliven and animate the surroundings of the guests. At the appointed hour, a buffalo stampede was unveiled above the audience with a drumline to direct guests’ attention to the front of the stage for the brief program. Guests mingled and met beneath a beautifully projected sky, enjoying custom cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres.
